Your eyesight is a precious gift, and protecting against vision loss is essential to maintaining your quality of life. By taking the simple step of making a comprehensive eye examination part of your healthcare routine, you can help safeguard your vision.
Pediatric Eye Exams
Taking your child for a comprehensive eye exam at an early age, and maintaining regularly scheduled eye care checkups as they are growing up, is the best way to ensure that your child’s vision development reaches its full potential.
Vision therapy consists of a customized and programmed set of procedures and activities designed to eliminate visual functional and developmental or cognitive deficits that effect learning (kids), visual efficiency (older kids and adults) and rehabilitation (TBI/stroke/concussion).
Your eye operates in much the same way as a camera. Just as the lens of a camera focuses entering light on a piece of film to produce a sharp image, the lens of your eye focuses light on the retina to form a picture that is sent on to the brain.
Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation is the use of therapeutic activities to aid in eliminating symptoms such as headache, balance problems, dizziness, light sensitivity, fatigue and double vision resulting from Traumatic Brain Injury.
Our model of vision care is a combination of traditional medical eye care, functional vision care, and Neuro Cognitive care which assesses the patient’s ability to convert light energy reaching the eye into meaningful information to direct action and produce learning.
Glaucoma is a progressive disease that diminishes the capacity of the optic nerve to transmit visual information to the brain. When left untreated or uncontrolled, it results in a gradual and irreversible loss of vision.
