Dr. Mina Han is a board-certified Optometric Physician who joined the Riverdell Vision family in 2020. She grew up in Bergen County and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with dual bachelor degrees in Biology and Psychology. Dr. Han pursued her post-graduate studies at the Massachusetts School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences College of Optometry where she received her Masters of Public Health and Doctor of Optometry degrees. She has completed specialized externship training in Primary Care Optometry, Ocular Disease Management, Pediatric Vision Care, Specialty Contact Lenses, and Glaucoma.

Dr. Han has a strong reputation as a caring practitioner who demonstrates clinical thoroughness and who listens and attends to the needs and concerns of her loyal patients. Dr. Han has been in the optometry field for over thirteen years and provides complete eye health examinations, fits all types of contact lenses, and provides advanced treatment of ocular disease.

Dr. Han has developed a passion for the treatment and management of Myopia (nearsightedness) in children. Myopia has become an epidemic given the demanding levels of screen time which have greatly accelerated during the pandemic. The consequences of high degrees of myopia are of significant concern. Having been fortunate to have received Myopia Control Therapy as a child, Dr. Han has dedicated herself to providing this valuable service at Riverdell Vision. She keeps up to date with the latest published research in this area and is one of the few optometrists in New Jersey who is certified to fit all types of contact lenses that are currently FDA approved for Myopia Control. She also provides alternative therapies including the use of eye drops to reduce myopic progression. Dr. Han understands what it is like to be myopic and is keenly aware of the visual and eye health consequences of high degrees of Myopia. She is determined to use her clinical expertise and knowledge to make a difference in the lives of today's children. Dr. Han is a native to Bergen County as she was born and raised in Glen Rock, New Jersey. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, Declan and Logan. Dr. Han also enjoys singing and traveling with her family!
