Dr. Amy Mundanchira received her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
She went on to pursue her Doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with clinical honors. She is also part of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric honor society.
Dr. Mundanchira has completed various clinical rotations to expand her skill set, some of which include rotations in low vision at the Feinbloom Low Vision Center in Philadelphia, in pediatrics and in ocular disease at the Hudson Valley VA. She has worked in different practice settings including alongside ophthalmologists where she co-managed complex and emergent patient cases.
Dr. Mundanchira is passionate about eye care, especially treating dry eye and ocular disease. She believes in providing compassionate, efficient eye care for patients of all ages. She has extensive knowledge in treating and managing potentially sight threatening conditions including glaucoma, age related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and cataracts.
In her free time Dr. Mundanchira loves traveling, spending time with her husband, reading and trying out new recipes.
