Our Team

Dr. Bruce Meyer, FCOVD, is a licensed Optometric Physician who has practiced in the State of New Jersey for over 35 years. He provides eye care services to individuals of all ages, but has special training and expertise in the evaluation and treatment of eye problems in children, Vision Therapy and the care of the patient who has suffered a traumatic brain injury, including concussion and stroke. He is a life-long Bergen County resident and a graduate of Rutgers College in New Jersey and the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Having achieved high honors in optometry school, Dr. Meyer was inducted into the BZK Optometric Honor Society.

After completing his residency in Pediatric Vision and Vision Therapy at The State University of New York, State College of Optometry, Dr. Meyer served as Assistant Clinical Professor from 1983 to 1986. His research article on Infant Vision was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a Fellow of The College of Optometrists in Vision Development and an active member of the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, the Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association and the Optometric Exchange Program.

In addition to his years of personal and professional experience dealing with children, he has extensive experience working with individuals with developmental delay (one of his daughters is developmentally challenged). He has spent 20 years as the Clinical Director of Special Olympics Lions Club’s International Opening Eyes of New Jersey, a program that provides free screening, exams, and glasses to Special Olympic athletes. Dr. Meyer continues to play a significant part in the Special Olympics each year. He has also served on the executive board of the Jewish Association for Developmental Disability, a non-profit organization providing group homes and respite services for adults with developmental disabilities.

In 2010, Dr Meyer was named New Jersey’s Optometrist of the Year by the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians for his dedication and care for his patients and his service to the citizens of New Jersey.

Dr Meyer is proud to receive referrals from other Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Neurologists, Concussion specialists, therapists, educators and other patients who seek his consultation regarding the role of therapy and specialized eye wear including prism lenses to correct for side vision loss in the treatment of their patients. Dr Meyer is Board Certified in Vision Therapy and, along with his chief therapist, Marissa, has helped hundreds of patients of all ages reach their individual visual potential.

Dr. Meyer, and his wife, Cindy (office manager), have four children and three grandchildren. He cherishes his time with his family and friends. In his spare time, Dr Meyer enjoys listening to and playing music. He plays the saxophone with a local 70's rock group, Plaza North, that plays in local restaurants. He also is a member of the New Eyes for the Needy Band, a group of musicians from the eye industry who play concerts to support vision-related charities.

Dr. Mina Han is a board-certified Optometric Physician who joined the Riverdell Vision family in 2020. She grew up in Bergen County and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with dual bachelor degrees in Biology and Psychology. Dr. Han pursued her post-graduate studies at the Massachusetts School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences College of Optometry where she received her Masters of Public Health and Doctor of Optometry degrees. She has completed specialized externship training in Primary Care Optometry, Ocular Disease Management, Pediatric Vision Care, Specialty Contact Lenses, and Glaucoma.

Dr. Han has a strong reputation as a caring practitioner who demonstrates clinical thoroughness and who listens and attends to the needs and concerns of her loyal patients. Dr. Han has been in the optometry field for over thirteen years and provides complete eye health examinations, fits all types of contact lenses, and provides advanced treatment of ocular disease.
Dr. Han has developed a passion for the treatment and management of Myopia (nearsightedness) in children. Myopia has become an epidemic given the demanding levels of screen time which have greatly accelerated during the pandemic. The consequences of high degrees of myopia are of significant concern. Having been fortunate to have received Myopia Control Therapy as a child, Dr. Han has dedicated herself to providing this valuable service at Riverdell Vision. She keeps up to date with the latest published research in this area and is one of the few optometrists in New Jersey who is certified to fit all types of contact lenses that are currently FDA approved for Myopia Control. She also provides alternative therapies including the use of eye drops to reduce myopic progression. Dr. Han understands what it is like to be myopic and is keenly aware of the visual and eye health consequences of high degrees of Myopia. She is determined to use her clinical expertise and knowledge to make a difference in the lives of today's children. Dr. Han is a native to Bergen County as she was born and raised in Glen Rock, New Jersey. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, Declan and Logan. Dr. Han also enjoys singing and traveling with her family!

Dr. Amy Mundanchira received her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

She went on to pursue her Doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with clinical honors. She is also part of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric honor society.

Dr. Mundanchira has completed various clinical rotations to expand her skill set, some of which include rotations in low vision at the Feinbloom Low Vision Center in Philadelphia, in pediatrics and in ocular disease at the Hudson Valley VA. She has worked in different practice settings including alongside ophthalmologists where she co-managed complex and emergent patient cases.

Dr. Mundanchira is passionate about eye care, especially treating dry eye and ocular disease. She believes in providing compassionate, efficient eye care for patients of all ages. She has extensive knowledge in treating and managing potentially sight threatening conditions including glaucoma, age related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and cataracts.

In her free time Dr. Mundanchira loves traveling, spending time with her husband, reading and trying out new recipes.
